Interview: Model Roberta Marcucci (Foligno (Pg), Italy)
Can you tell us a little about you? I'm always the little fairy of the set, if you meet me randomly I'll probably have pink hair and glitter on my face. I love cats, coffee and I'm always late. I love art and to me modeling is one beautiful way of expressing it.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I've always struggled with my self image, as a model and as a person, I'm starting to accept myself as I am, but that's not simple. And also I wish I was more organized and drank more water.
How did you start modelling? I started almost six years ago just for fun, and now I find myself happy to be calling it a job. It helps me understand things of me I wouldn't have found otherwise.
What do you think of the work as a model? Modeling is not the glamours job a lot of people may think. It can be sometimes, but it's a lot more than that. It's fun, but also tiring and full of people that will try to bring you down. With that being said, I've actually met a lot of kind and beautiful people on sets and made lots of friends.
What is your beauty regimen? I just try to take care of myself, as much as my brain lets me. When I do take some time for myself, I really love face masks and coconut oil. I try to drink water as mush as possible even tho is really hard for me.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? Surely my almost always pink hair. But I think one of the qualities of me I appreciate the most is my empathy, as I always aim to comprehend others' feelings without ever judging anyone.
What are your plans for the future? I'm really confused at the moment actually, I just hope for my future to be full of art. I'm a really artistic person, I model but I also do makeup and hairstyling, photography, and I make handmade dresses and jewelry, so I really hope for myself to be able to transform some of this passions into work one day.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far? I have a lot of good memories of jobs I've done, but my favorite experiences are the ones where the photographer and I really wanna take some beautiful photos just for the pleasure of creating art.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? You have to expect rude people and judgements, so always focus on what you are, be true to yourself, and don't let some people discourage you. You're beautiful the way you are, so really choose who to listen to and who not to.
What do you think of the magazine? I think this magazine is a really interesting way of spreading thoughts and ideas about this world. Thank you for the opportunity.
