Interview: Model Katrina Machado (USA)
Can you tell us a little about you?
My hometown is Las Vegas, Nevada. I lived in Oahu, Hawaii for 5 years where I started bartending and did promotional modeling. I am passionate about fitness and health. I am an animal lover and a hopeless romantic.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
I would love to be able to turn my mind off at times, I can ever stop thinking.
How did you start modeling?
I was inspired to start modeling as a way to share my self-love journey through fitness. I want to inspire people to embrace their confidence and love themselves.
What do you think of the work as a model?
I think it is important to show your true self as a model. You should stay true to what you believe and not be influenced by the worlds beauty standards.
What is your beauty regimen?
Being an esthetician, I find skin care very important. Eating the right foods as well as getting enough rest is important for your outer appearance.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?
I am passionate, hard working, and determined. Most of all, I am resilient. If something tends to fall apart I have the motivation to bounce back and I think that is a very good quality to have.
What are your plans for the future?
I am still figuring that one out at the moment. I would love to do anything that brings happiness and more opportunities for growth.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far?
It was an amazing opportunity to be able to walk the runway for Nalu Bay Swimwear and Kinis Swimwear during Las Vegas Swim Week.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?
Don’t get discouraged if anyone tells you no. View your mistakes and failures as opportunities to learn and grow. But mostly, have fun doing what you love because it shows in your work when you are truly passionate about your art.
What do you think of the magazine?
I think very highly of Modellenland Magazine. The platform gives credibility to a lot of amazing talent.
