Interview: Model Kate Rainbow (Ukraine)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I was born in a small town on the east of Ukraine. When I was 5, my parents and I moved to the capital – Kiev. My childhood was full of art and studies – I played piano, loved to paint and studied math and physics, took part in a lot of math competitions. When I finished high school, I started to travel for modelling. I got a degree in fashion design because I always wanted to create something. Now I am in Thailand in my 14th model trip studying digital marketing and creating my own digital marketing agency.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

If we are talking about my appearance – I am happy with who I am and I wouldn’t change anything. All the changes I want to make are dedicated to mental developing of my personality – I would like to be more focused on my goals and work on myself every day to be better.

How did you start modelling?

When I was 13, a model scout stopped me on the street and proposed to be a model. Unfortunately, my parents didn’t let me go for modelling, they said I have to finish my school. So I started modelling at 17, I was really wondering to try it.

What do you think of the work as a model?

It gives many opportunities in life, important thing is how do you use them. With modelling I had travelled around the world, learned English, and got to know a lot of people so modelling became a big school of life for me. I am sure now that modelling makes you strong and powerful. And of course, modelling is an art and creativity – I love it!

What is your beauty regimen?

I do beauty rituals every day. My morning starts from a face massage that I do with my hands. Then I clean my skin and put some skincare products. I regularly use SPF cream and face masks for moisturising and softening.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I am very cusious about everything. I always find positive things and anything that happening to me and concentrated on being happy in a moment and enjoy my life, doing what I like. I am an open-minded person with particular worldview. I appreciate the freedom of myself and others.

What are your plans for the future?

They are big! I prefer to not concretise too much, but I can say that I want to own some businesses, travel and buy my own house.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

I love photoshoots on the wild nature, like beach or in mountains. It’s always something special!

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

Check the information about the agencies, ask other models about their experiences because unfortunately there are so many fakes. Also I would recommend not to focus only on modelling and improve your other skills.
