Interview: Cover Girl Chiara Silvestri (Italy)
Can you tell us a little about you?
It is always very complicated to describe myself, I am a very simple girl, I have many passions, to list them would be an understatement but I am easily bored and I always need new shocks. I am happy with this editorial release because my way of interpreting in front of the camera has evolved, has changed and is growing together with me, and I hope it will continue to change according to my phases.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
As I said before I think and I hope in evolution, in growth always keeping my personality, it is what makes me who I am, identity is important, many things can be changed but you always have to deal with the basic identity, accept it and for what concerns me I want to add more than change.
How did you start modelling?
A photographer took me for a shooting to which I applied as a game, I published it and from here the various experiences began.
What do you think of the work as a model?
I think it's a good job but you have to be very strong. You must have a character that is not influenced, it is right to follow dreams but you have to accept that it ends. If you aim for youth and beauty you know that they end, you must always learn and add new things if you want to keep yourself alone without asking anyone for anything. Giving space to all the passions always helps to have new opportunities because they don't always come knocking on your door if you don't get involved.
What is your beauty regimen?
Balance, sport and a lot of time in nature, nothing excessive, I allow myself the vices without exaggerating.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?
I believe I have good principles. I have a strong sense of reality, sacrifice and work. Posing for me is a nice parenthesis but my story is different, at 16 I lost my mother and was a maid and at 18 I lived alone and I immediately bought a car with the sweat of my forehead without asking anyone for anything. And on this I based everything. I have always worked. I don't believe in sequins to the easy life. Life presented me with the difficulties and real pain at just 16 years old, and now that I am 30 I know how to appreciate all that it presents to me, I never feel like a victim of unpleasant events but I welcome them and face them with courage. It was not easy but I can say that I was strong, without being better than anyone. My photography gave lightness, and when I started I needed it.
What are your plans for the future?
I have many dreams in the drawer, I try to work in that direction, but I keep it secret. I am currently about to give an ezsame because I have also spent the last two years studying because you never know in life.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far?
There have been many, today I say that every trip has been magnificent because I love discovering lands that I don't know. It makes me feel alive.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?
Be honest with yourself, know your qualities without being superb and never believe in easy money.
What do you think of the magazine?
The space that is given to photography and the art of this world is beautiful. It is a day that combines the power of the images and allows you to express yourself in interviews that give freedom of expression. I am very grateful to be here.
