Interview: Model Laura Pagano alias White Rabbit (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I am Laura. I’m 34 years old and I live in Bologna, Italy. I grew up in a religious and very close-knit family, but I have always been different from them. I don’t like dogma, but I love freedom. I live for the present moment, I think enjoying life and being grateful is very important. I love tattoos and piercing, and I have many. I think that the body modification is an art form. I am vegan because I love all animals and nature, and I think all animals have the right to live free. I live with my dog Tommy and my two lovebirds Mojito and Bijoux. They are my weird and lovely family. I love spending my free time walking with Tommy for several hours. I recently discovered the passion for modelling and I’m in such a groove with that, because it’s a good and exciting way to express myself.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I would change my laziness and my excess of emotion.

How did you start modelling?

I started modelling after my first fashion show in a disco. After that experience, suddenly a window of possibilities opened for me.

What do you think of the work as a model?

Modelling is a great passion for the moment, not yet a work.

I think it is stimulating because I can use my body to communicate an emotion, it is like acting. It is also a way to concentrate on myself; modelling helped me to love my body.

What is your beauty regimen?

I am vegan and for the last two years I’ve been generally on a raw food diet. I also drink a lot of water. I take special care of my hairs and nails – It is essential to me to have always perfect nails and hair. I also love strong make up and red lipstick!

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

Each person has their own special skills, I am a passionate, cheerful and kind girl. But I always try to improve myself.

What are your plans for the future?

As I always say, I just hope to do what makes me happy, whatever it will be.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

One of my favorite experiences is the “long-distance photoshoot”, in collaboration with the photographer Luca Bartoli, during this quarantine, to tell about Covid19 and the sad moment we are living. He directed me using emails and whatsapp, I took a picture of myself using self-timer. Then he did post-production.

Starting participate to fashion nights in some clubs of Bologna, Modena and Ferrara was also very exciting.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

Be yourself, just letting your feeling and emotions out. On the pratical level, my advice is: be careful, it is important to trust the right people.

What do you think of the magazine?

I think it is really nice that a magazine give voice to up-and-coming artists, it is a great chance for us, so....thank you!
