Interview: Model Signe Safira (Denmark)
Can you tell us a little about you?
My name is Signe Safira, and I am 13 years old. I live in Ballerup, Copenhagen, with my mother, Father and 2 younger brothers. In my everyday life, I go to school in 6th grade, walk with a dog named Baloo 3 times a week and spend time with my friends and family.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
I like myself as I am. I dont believe I should change anything, but if I had to change something, I think I could be better at concentrating. It is something I work on getting better at everyday, and I believe that I have a better consentration now, than for just 3 month ago.
Regarding modeling, I am working on getting better at having those soft hands. Not litteraly soft, but moving them right on pictures, holding them softly against my skin, and so on.
How did you start modeling?
The first time I was in front of a camera, I think I was 4 years old. A female photografer asked my mom, if she could use me for some test photos. And around that time I also were at my first casting in a shopping centre. But first when I became 13, in august 2019 something happened. My mom helped me making a facebook page, contacted photographers and then it just rolled from there.
What do you think of the work as a model?
I love it. I am not in an agency (yet), and are right now using the modeling as a way for me to get to know other models, photographers, make up artists and so on. I like getting to know other people who share the same passion as I have. I thrive when everything goes to a higher point when the work between everyone just flows.
What is your beauty regimen?
Every everning I wash my face with Matas face wash, then uses skin tonic and last but not least a face gel to give moist. I think about what I eat, and tries to eat healthy. Lots of carrots.
I go for long walks everyday to keep my body going.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?
I am very outgoing, funny and positive. I am not afraid of meeting meeting other people, and I always have a good mood. When I am on a shoot, nobody gets bored.
What are your plans for the future?
I am dreaming of becoming a zookeeper – or just working with anymals in general. I am a huge animal lover. I also hopes for a future within the modeling business.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far?
My first meetup was a great experience. I met so many kind people, and learned quite a lot.
Also my first fantasy shoot was a huge experience. It was so different from other shoots I have been at, since the way the pictures were made, became alive in the editing.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?
Just go for it. Dont be afraid. There are so many kind people, happy to help you trying your dream out. If you are open for advices and ready to evolve, you can learn a lot.
What do you think of the magazine?
I think it is a cool way to expose models, photographers and so on. I also think it is a great way to read about others in the business, opening your horizont and get inspiration.
