Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Oksana. I live in Ukraine - Lviv. To be honest I’m in love with my profession.
How long have you been a makeup artist and how did you get your start? I’ve been working as a makeup artist for 4 years! Once I decided to learn more about make up and went on make up classes. From that time I can’t even imagine my life without this profession! At first I worked a lot on tfp, for free, tryed myself on different projects. Now I work with Ukrainian show business, abroud and with professional photographers.
Where do you get your inspiration from? My inspiration come from different sides: weather, music, cool picture or even a new lipstick
What are some of your makeup products that you use? I work with different cosmetics of lux! My favorite brands are ysl, Estée Lauder, Mac, Dior, ets
Who have you worked for and who would you like to work for in the future? As I said I've been working with Ukrainian singers Melovin, Opiya, Natalia Karpa, groups “The six sense” , “Rockoko” ! I have a dream to work on Cannes festival with famouse actors and singers.
Any makeup tips you'd like to share with us? I always say to my clients about skin care!!! This is one of the most important rule for me! If your skin is healthy, your makeup will be always shine and perfect. Even when your make up it's mascara and lipstick! Usually I don’t recommend put a makeup everyday, because skin need some rest too. For everyday I would recommend a little tips like mascara, eyebrows, lipstick, highlighter, blush. With these products your look will be natural and well-groomed.
If you were not a makeup artist, what would be your dream job? Oh, i don’t want think about it, because I love my work so much. I can't even imagine myself with other professions. But to be honest I have law and economists degree.)
What are three things every girl needs in her makeup bag? Lipstick, highlights and pencil for eyebrows!
What are common mistakes you see women make on their makeup? I always pay attention on the eyebrows. Sometimes womens make them look oversaturated, too graphic and naturalness. Also there are cases when the blush is incorrectly applied or the lipstick color is not suitable. So all this in general give us a completely different look. I do self-makeup classes where girls could learn more about how to use, to apply cosmetic, and how to look beautiful!
What do you think of the magazine? I like it . It's some kind of inspiration, communication, sharing ideas, photos, people interviews! You have a potencial and I believe in your success!
