Interview: Model Inna Stec (Poland)

Can you tell us a little about you?

My name is Inna Stec. I am a model, actress and dancer. I love my job because it gives me wings. I create myself my look for a photo shooting and I also sew and decorate clothes and shoes. I had been dancing for a long time and I always liked to take part in concerts as a dancer. I won the Miss "Volodarsk-Volynsky Region 2012" (in Ukraine) and in the same year I began to study in Poland in 2012. There I took part in such fashion runway shows as L'attore, Marek Supports Brand and Zalla by Sara Zalewska.

Moreover I took part in Photography Workshop "Przystań Bajania" in April and October.

I was also a model for the online store "De La Fotta". I have tried myself in acting and played in the series "FriendsForever" and in the video of the band "Hello Boys".

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

Sometimes I'm stubborn and not easy to convince. This is the only thing, which I would change.

How did you start modeling?

When I was 13 years old I appeared in the Ukrainian version of the magazine "Young Lady". I was always interested in modeling, so I was looking for inspiration and appropriate poses ... and then my best friend took some pictures of me. Two weeks before the beginning of my study at university, I came to Poland and started to write and speak in Polish.

Later in the 3rd university year, I registered on the modeling portal and started to pose for the photos. After that I was a model for the online store "De La Fotta" and I took part as a model in the fashion shows L'attore, Marka Wspiera Markę ( April and September), Zalla by Sara Zalewska ( October). I also participated in the Sorry Boys music video "Wracam".

What do you think of the work as a model?

Modeling requires dedication because you have to exercise and always take care of yourself and to develop yourself. You should love what you do and only then you will achieve success. Often you need to cope with problems like walking in uncomfortable shoes on the catwalk, or in shoes which too big for you and you cannot show it. Photo shootings are also difficult, because you can have a shooting in winter (at -20 degrees) or in cold water and you cannot show it on your face and you should fight with yourself all the time in order to make the perfect photos.

What is your beauty regimen?

Firstly I would like to say it is necessary for me to take care of not only the outer beauty, but also the inner beauty. I believe that mirror reflects your image, but the soul reflects your beauty. That is why I try to achieve the harmony between my body, mind and soul.

Talking about my beauty regimen I use different masks for hair, face and body. Also I jog a couple times a week and generally I like doing sports. Finally, I try to get up earlier, in order not to rush and to have time to drink a cup of your favorite coffee and to listen to my favorite song. In this way I am in good spirits all the day and this small thing contributes to my outer and inner beauty.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I have the character of a warrior who used to achieve everything in life and not give up. I'm working on myself to achieve something.

What are your plans for the future?

I do not like to plan, because only God knows what will happen in the future, and I only have goals that I am trying to pursue.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

The underwater photo shooting was a very nice experience, which is one of the most difficult styles of photos, because all the time you have to fight with water that pushes you out, with a dress, with hair that get tangled and open eyes under the water. Nevertheless I wanted to do this shooting most of all and my dream was fulfilled.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

First of all you need to take some photos. Such photos can be taken by your friend. Then you should write to photographers and test how you feel in front of the camera.

While working on your portfolio it is important to attract the attention of people, who are looking for a models for different fashion shows, photo shootings etc..

It is very important to check if the photographer, who you are going to work with, has already worked with the models and if he has references. If these two things do not exist, then he is probably a cheater. If you are interested in modeling, it is better to try to work in this sphere, than later regret that you did not try.

What do you think of the magazine?

I really like this magazine because it shows beauty through photos. It gives people the opportunity to see how creative and unusual photos can be. Looking at the magazine "Modellenland" I can say that this magazine motivates and inspires to act.
