Interview: Photographer Sebastian Pietrzak (Poland)
Can you tell us a little about you?
I am 39 years old photographer from Poland, Despite my health issues and being entire life on a wheelchair +I have only left hand healthy , i manage to do what i love; travel, photosessions, and that gives me chance to meet interesting people
How and when did you get into photography? I’ve made my first photo shoots 12 years ago, this was by accident on some vacation, when I came back, I realize that this is something I want to do, cause it gives me the feeling of being free, free from day by day living and all what comes with that.
What does photography mean to you?
Passion, Freedom, chance to interact with other greats artists . Its always great when you imagine something in your head and than you can do it in reality, even greater when people who wants to work with you, also understand that visions and they helps achieved that goals.
Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.
I think my style still changing, I can’t describe as one name, I love tease viewers with image that sometimes are erotic but innocent in the same time, Either way, the most important to me when you watch my photo, you will never walk from it with no feelings about it.
Where do you get inspiration from?
Dreams, Movies, Analog Photos from the past.. Often I get inspirations from faces people I met first time
Think you in advance what you want in the picture?
Sometimes, I think I always have some project in mind before session. But when Photoshoot its on, I let it flow in natural curse, cause I know my Models will always give me some great effects.
Studio, on location or both?
I don’t like Studio too much. I think its cold and not natural . I love bright houses , big living rooms, white bedrooms, this is perfect enviroment for me.
Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?
This is only hobby, but thanks to that, ideal escape from world.
Of course its nice to work, do what you love and get paid, maybe someday
What has been your most memorable session and why?
Once I have 4 session in one day. Of course it seems lot of work, but I love to be always on the move, i hates to have too many free time on my hands.
Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?
From over ten years NikonJ my favourite Lenses; 50mm 1.4 nikkor to portraits, 35mm 1.8 to Nude Art
What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?
Always do what you feel is good, and if you handicap like me, don’t let no one to tell you that you can’t manage work as a Photograph, this your life , your dream, and if you want to do photos(or any other passion you love), just believe it +hard work and your dream come true one day.
What do you think of our new magazine?
I think it is good to have a fresh Magazine in a world of Photography, of course I enjoy it and wish you good luck for future.
