Interview: Model Alina S. Koch (Germany) (Cover Girl) Editorial issue18

Can you tell us a little about you?

My name is Alina S. Koch, I´m 23 years old and live in a small village in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. I love to travel and I´m a photography and architecture lover. Adjectives that describe me quite well: adventurous, cheerful, idealistic, nature connected, receptive.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

Actually, I was looking for a model for a project. By registering on a model site, I was asked by many photographers if I would shoot with them. A photographer had convinced me, after my first shoot. After this shooting I was suddenly in to creating pictures and having fun. I now I do not want to miss it anymore.

How did you start modeling?

It would probably be my height, a few inches more, would be nice. Sometimes I would like to drop my self-doubt, because I'm my biggest critic of my self, which is not always beneficial.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I find the work unique, even if I do not work full-time. It is a nice balance to the unilaterally office job and I like to meet new people by photoshoots.

What is your beauty regimen?

My beauty secret is to stress my skin as little as possible.

I only make-up if it is necessary. During the week, I mostly do without make-up and stuff, just a good moisturizer and that it is.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I am a happy person, very empathetic and I always try to affirm the people in my environment positively with charity. Because of my way of being able to laugh about myself, I also put on bad-tempered people with my positive manner.

What are your plans for the future?

I would like to travel around the world the next 2 years and visit different countries and places.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

The best experience of all is when a passion creates a friendship. I got to know great people by modeling. Moreover it is a great feeling to hold a printed photo from a shooting in my hands, it is a very different feeling than seeing the pictures only digitally.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

Anyone who wants to start modeling should first practice face mimic in front of the mirror. If you can play them on demand, you should contact a good photographer who creates a high-quality sedcard. The sedcard shows how multifaceted a model is.

What do you think of the magazine?

I think the magazine Modellenland is great because the magazin presents not only the finished works of an individual artists. In addition to that Modellenland sets out the personality of different models, photographers, hair and make-up artists and so you lern more about this hard working people.
