Interview: Model Lisa Mj (Italy)
Can you tell us a little about you?
I'm an italian girl from Vicenza, a city near the beautiful Venice. I'm 19 and I started modeling an year ago. I studied foreign languages but I'd love to start a film academy to become an actress. I'm an ambitious girl, and I'm really a precise person. I love animals and I've done horse riding since I was a 5.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
I have lot of flaws, everybody has them! If I could change something about me that would probably be my shyness, be a more talkative and open person with others. But other than all that I kinda like my self the way I am.
How did you start modeling?
It just sort of happened. I started modeling because a friend of mine, who is a model and a make-up artist, wanted to put on my make-up and then take some photos with a photographer. People liked me, and I love be in front of the camera so I continued to do shootings. That's how I started.
What do you think of the work as a model?
I think the work as a model has its pros and cons. It's a great thing that you're always travelling and knowing new people and cultures, you're always creating new thing you know, but at the same time you're often away from your family and being always travelling can be stressful.
What is your beauty regimen?
Well, I don't really put on make-up. I make sure my skin can breathe as much as possible. I usually put on only some foundation and some blush on my cheeks.
I always wash my face with water and a cleanser. I always moisturize with some cream. I try to follow my diet, and live a healthy life by going to the gym 3 times a week.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?
I think that everybody is different, and it shouldn't be me to say what distinguish me from others.
What are your plans for the future?
As I said before, I'd love to became an actress but not in Italy, just because I love American acting, I'd love to move to the States and work there. So it would be amazing for me to have either a main or small part in a movie. Otherwise, I remain open to work in the modeling business.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far?
Probably a music video in which I participated with two famous artist in Italy.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?
Do not give up. Don't let people throw you down. Be aware that you are worth. That's it.
What do you think of the magazine?
I think it's a great magazine, and it's inspiring to read about the stories of models all around the world.
